We love movie night here at the craft studio. There’s nothing better than cuddling up on the sofa with popcorn and soda and putting on your favourite flick. This card was inspired by movie night and I’m so excited to share this tutorial with you on how to assemble it 🙂
I always like to layout my designs before I assemble them. I have cut all of the pieces of the card out of cardstock. I have also stamped the ticket stubs with the Kanban ticket stamp set.
The next step is to assemble the ‘name in lights’ billboard part of the card. First put adhesive on the yellow square and stick the black frame to the yellow square. Then stick the white square to the yellow square. This creates the billboard part of the card. If you want to you can personalise this part of the card by writing on the white card or printing a message on the front before you stick it down.
Next fold the main body of the card on the perforated lines. Don’t stick it together yet! But stick the ‘cinema screen’ on to the back of the card. you can also stick the billboard onto the front of the card now too.
Next its time to put the theatre seats in. Before I do this I like to use some distress ink to brush the edges of the seats to give them a bit more depth. I then fold back the perforated edges of the card. To assemble the card together use follow the pictures below or also have a look at the time lapse video at the bottom of this post.
